Ricky Schroder – Then
Schroder lit up screens as Ricky Stratton, the adorable and precocious son of Edward Stratton III. With his trademark blonde bowl cut and bright blue eyes, he became one of the most recognizable child actors of the 1980s.
As an adult, Schroder's journey took a number of sharp turns. In 2019, he made headlines after being arrested twice in one month on suspicion of domestic violence, both involving the same woman.

Now
Despite the public scrutiny, Schroder later opened up about his complicated relationship with fame. In 2024, he reflected, "But I never fit in Hollywood. [...] Other people made choices for you and put you on a track. But today I make my own choices."
More recently, Schroder had a reason to smile, as in July 2025, he got married. The couple tied the knot in a beachside ceremony in Cabo, and Schroder shared the happy news on his Instagram page.

While the wedding itself sparked congratulations, Schroder's appearance in the photos drew a wave of reactions online. "Time has not been his friend," one person wrote, while another added, "Wow he used to be such a cutie."
Others didn't hold back, asking, "What's up with his saggy chin," and remarking, "He doesn't age well." Perhaps the most telling response came from a commenter who simply questioned, "He's only 55??"

Joel Higgins – Then
Higgins starred as Edward Stratton III, the fun-loving, toy-company-owning father on "Silver Spoons." With his boyish charm, feathered hair, and easy smile, Higgins made Edward a lovable character who balanced childlike wonder with grown-up responsibility.

In recent years, the actor has traded his laid-back sitcom look for a more distinguished appearance. Sporting silver hair, glasses, and a suit and tie, he now carries himself with the ease and warmth of a seasoned professional.

Today, the actress carries that same composed energy, now with long blonde hair, glasses, and a relaxed, confident smile.
In a 2013 interview, she reflected on her time with the cast, "It was absolutely perfect. The best five years of my life. Loved them at the beginning; loved them at the end. Can't say that too often."

Today, Ribeiro still radiates that same charm, now with a more refined and polished appearance. He wears his signature smile with salt-and-pepper precision, often seen in sharp suits and a perfectly groomed goatee.
Staying active in the entertainment industry, he continues to thrive — most recently as one of the co-hosts of "Dancing with the Stars." He's set to return for the upcoming season, premiering September 16 on ABC and Disney+.
